Managed Data Feed
A reliable feed of public data, delivered on a schedule and kept working over time. You get the data you need on a steady cadence — and I keep it flowing when the source changes underneath it.
The problem
A one-off scraper is great — until the source site changes. Public sites redesign, rename fields, and restructure their pages all the time. When that happens, a static scraper quietly returns empty rows or wrong values, and you find out only when something downstream is already broken.
A Managed Data Feed closes that gap. The feed isn't just built once and handed off — it's watched, maintained, and fixed so it stays correct as the public source evolves.
What you get
- Setup: a robust scraper for your public source plus scheduled delivery — daily, hourly, or whatever cadence fits — to your chosen destination (file drop, database, or simple API).
- Monitoring: the feed is actively watched for breakage and drift. When the source changes and the data stops looking right, I catch it.
- Fixes included: I fix it when the source changes. Maintenance to keep the feed accurate is part of the monthly service, not a surprise invoice.
- Monthly check-in: a regular touchpoint to review the feed, adjust fields, and adapt as your needs evolve.
- Clean, consistent output in your format (CSV / JSON / API), under your ownership.
Proof it's real
The starter scaffolding behind this service is public on GitHub — the scheduling, delivery, and monitoring patterns that keep a managed feed running.

Scope & ground rules
- Public sources only. The feed draws from public, logged-out pages — factual, non-PII data.
- Respectful collection. Scheduling honours robots.txt and applies sensible rate limits, so the source is never overloaded.
- You operate and own the data. The feed runs under your control; the data it produces is yours.
- Reliability, not circumvention. The whole service is about keeping already-public data dependable — never anything gated or private.
